Over 330 years ago, colonists established the first
permanent European settlement in the Carolinas
here. The historic site and nature preserve highlights archeological
investigation, living history, a
replica of a 17th-century sailing vessel, natural habitat zoo, and beautiful
scenery. Bicycle rentals
and tram rides are available. Charles Towne Landing is open daily from
8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sewee Visitor and
Environmental Education Center - Highway 17 N., Awendaw

Near Mt. Pleasant, this center showcases the natural history of South
Carolina’s Lowcountry. The education center is operated by the USDA Forest
Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Hands-on displays present the
eco-systems of the Cape Romain Refuge and the Francis Marion Forest, and it
includes a birds of prey area and red wolf education area. The Sewee Visitor
Center is open Tues. - Sun. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Charleston National Country
Club and Learning Center
526 East towards Mt. Pleasant. (about 12 miles). Georgetown/Hwy 17 North exit
and turn left at the light onto Hwy 17 north. Pass the shopping center on your
right and travel for approximately 6 miles on Hwy 17. Once you pass the Hwy. 41
turnoff and KFC on the left, Charleston National is about 2 miles ahead on the
right.
Crowfield Country Club
I-26 west to exit 203, turn right onto College Park Rd. towards Goose
Creek. Proceed to the second light, turn right at Crowfield Blvd. Take the first
right after High School.
Dunes West Golf Club
526 East towards Mt. Pleasant. Take the Clements Ferry Road- North exit.
Follow this road for about 8 or 9 miles, turn right onto Hwy 41. Continue a
little over 2 miles, turn left at the light into the entrance to Dunes West.
RiverTowne Country Club
526 East towards Mt. Pleasant. Take the Clements Ferry Road- North exit.
Follow this road for approximately 8-9 miles, turn right onto Hwy 41. Drive a
little over 2 miles, turn right at the light into the entrance to RiverTowne
(across from Dunes West).
Coosaw Creek Country Club
I-26 West to exit for Ashley Phosphate Rd. (exit 209). Turn left at the
light. Travel approximately 4 miles. Turn right onto Dorchester Rd. The club is
about 2 miles ahead on the right.
Legend Oaks Plantation
526 West towards Savannah to the Ashley River Road Exit (Hwy 61 North).
Follow Glen McConnell Blvd. past Home Depot, Sonic, etc to Bees Ferry Road. Turn
right onto Bees Ferry Road. Turn left onto Hwy 61 and travel past Middleton
Place Plantation, continuing almost to Summerville (at fork in the road and
warning signal stay left). Legend Oaks Way is about 2 miles ahead on the left.
Shadowmoss Plantation
526 West towards Savannah to the Ashley River Road Exit (Hwy 61 North).
Follow Glen McConnell Blvd. past Home Depot, Sonic, etc to Bees Ferry Road. Turn
right on Bees Ferry Road. Turn left into the Shadowmoss entrance.
The Links at Stono Ferry
526 West towards Savannah. Take US17 South for approximately 6 miles
(past the turn-off for Kiawah) and turn left onto Hwy. 162 towards Edisto
Island. Travel 2.5 miles and turn left into Stono Ferry Plantation.
Patriots Point Links on Charleston Harbor
From downtown Charleston, take US17 North over Cooper River Bridge to 703
(Coleman Blvd.). Turn right at the first light (at the 76 station) and follow
the road past the Hilton. The golf course is at the end of the road.
Kiawah Island Golf Resort
US17 South about 10 miles to Main Rd. Look for signs to Kiawah/Seabrook.
Turn left onto Main Rd. (at Burger King) and travel 20 miles. Main Rd. tuns into
Bohicket Rd. on Johns Island. Turn left at Kiawah Island sign.
Seabrook Island Resort
US17 South about 10 miles to Main Rd. Look for signs to Kiawah/Seabrook.
Turn left onto Main Rd. (at Burger King) and travel 20 miles. Main Rd. tuns into
Bohicket Rd. on Johns Island. Seabrook is 2 miles past the Kiawah Island
entrance.
Wild Dunes Resort
526 East towards Mt. Pleasant. Travel about 12 miles. Take the Georgetown
exit and turn left at the light onto Hwy. 17 north. After you pass the shopping
center on your right, turn right onto 517 towards the Isle of Palms. Once on the
island, turn left onto Palm Blvd. Continue about 4 miles to the entrance of Wild
Dunes
