Warm
Crab
Dip
About 2 cups of dip
8 oz cream cheese, softened
6 oz can of lump crabmeat
2 tablespoons grated onion
1 tablespoon milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
paprika
Combine cream cheese,crabmeat, onion, milk, salt, pepper, and
Worcestershire sauce, and blend well with a spoon. Place mixture
in an ovenproof dish; sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 375 ° for 20
minutes
Warm Lobster Dip
makes about 1 1/2 cups of dip
1 cup lobster meat
2 tablespoons sweet butter
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar
2 or three dashes of Tabasco
1/3 cup of dry white wine
Melt butter in a saucepan over low
heat. Gradually add cheese and stir until melted. Add Tabasco and
gradually add wine, stirring until mixture is smooth. Add lobster
and continue to cook and stir until heated all the way
through. Serve warm
Sweet Potato Chips
2 sweet potatoes
peanut oil for frying
salt
Peel the sweet potatoes and slice very thin with
a sharp knife Cover slices with ice water in a bowl and chill for
an hour.
Drain water from the potatoes and pat with paper
towels.
Heat about an inch of peanut oil in a pot or
deep skillet til hot and a potato slice dipped in starts sizzling
right away. Fry potato slices, a layer at a time, until golden
brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove the chips from the pan or pot
and drain on brown paper or paper towels. Salt the chips while
still a little bit warm
